We are at San Vicente, a fishing town on the Cantabria coast. We left the main Camino route in Logrono and the Camino Norte has followed the coast much of the way. We have walked on soft sand beaches, over rocky headlands and sometimes inland through eucalyptus forests. Some climbs have been steep, but our muscles are conditioned now and our feet more or less toughened. Our best day has been 40 km. We still have blisters and bandages but the pains mostly go away after 20 minutes on the trail. Tim is the only one who has had no blisters . . . but he is suffering enough from a troublesome achiles tendon.
We have lost track of the days and have seen no news at all. Hope all is well at home.

I feel sorry for Tim.... I had that once and it is painful! Glad you are making headway!! Looking forward to your return. Not much news here. Not as exciting as there anyway. Love to you all, Mom, Kate, Auntie Kathie, etc. XXOO
