my love of berries

there's something about picking fresh berries from the side of a trail. berries you would pay $5 a basket for back home. berries that are sweet and juicy and way more flavourful than the GMOs we get in the regular grocery store. it was because of this "something" that i never failed to pass up the opportunity to gorge myself in each and every barry patch we came across. Day 1, descending through the Pyrenees from Somport Pass, provided us with strawberries. sweet sweet delicious little strawberries. and in the days to come the strawberries gave way to blackberry bushes which we would wait three weeks to finally enjoy, and what a night that was! but i'll save that story for another post.
